You are cordially invited to our home on Lake Merritt for a small gathering in support of Oakland City Council President Nikki Fortunato Bas. On Wednesday, September 28, please join us starting at 6:30 PM to watch the sun set over the Lake, enjoy some hearty hors d'oeuvres and accompanying drinks, and engage in some real talk about how we are going to tackle the many issues confronting our town and achieve greater peace and prosperity for all.

In addition to being selected by her colleagues as the Council President, Nikki is also our Councilmember here in District 2 where we live on the Lake. I have worked closely with her and her team for the last several years to address the many challenges we’ve seen on the Lake and move forward important initiatives for our City more broadly. I have found her honest, reasonable, principled yet pragmatic, and incredibly hard-working and committed to doing what’s right. We have not always agreed, but together have been able to achieve principled compromises without compromising our principles.
